Why Invisalign Is Different

Invisalign treatment, on the other hand, uses a system of removable aligners to move teeth into the desired position over the course of 12 months. They can be temporarily removed to eat or drink, giving you a freedom that braces never could. These great tools are not only removable but also invisible, eliminating the self-conscious feeling while at school or in the office. And, without the need for constant adjustments, Invisalign users only have to visit the dentist every six to eight weeks in addition to regular visits. These periodic check-ups allow the dentist to check on the teeth straightening progress.
How Invisalign Works
Once it is determined that you are a good candidate for Invisalign, our dentists will have a custom set of aligners made specifically for your teeth. Each aligner is worn for roughly two weeks, gradually shifting your teeth into proper alignment. After completing the full set, your dentist might suggest wearing a nightly retainer.
How to Care for Invisalign Aligners
The best way to clean the aligners is by allowing them to soak in the cleaning solution that comes with them while you eat or drink. Practice brushing them when you brush your teeth. They also can be cleaned with denture cleaners.
